I've tried to escape from Google in the past, but until now I hadn't found another search engine that suited my needs. But DDG has been excellent. It doesn't have its own image search (so I occasionally have to switch to Google for that) but for pretty much everything else it's served me really well.

Of course, I still talk about "googling" things, even though I'm not using Google for it.
